DU is committed to minimizing any obstacles students may face. While undocumented students have limited eligibility for financial aid, and are not eligible for any federal aid such as the Pell grant and federal student loans, we're pleased to be able to offer certain types of funding from the University of Denver and the State of Colorado.

Students awarded a merit scholarship (with the exception of the Rocky Mountain scholarship) are also automatically awarded a $3,000 宿舍补助金. Talent scholarships are awarded based on achievements in athletics, music, theater, speech and art.

Additionally, DACA and undocumented students may be eligible for the 大学教育补助金. Because this grant is need-based, you must submit the CSS档案待考虑. Please contact our office if you submitted the CSS档案 and wish 待考虑 for need-based aid.

Undocumented and DACA students may also be eligible for certain gift and endowed scholarships offered to current students by academic departments. To be considered for one of these awards, you must submit the Departmental Scholarship 应用程序, 每年二月开放.

Colorado’s House Bill HB22-1155 allows undocumented students who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for two types of funding:

To be eligible for these two types of aid, you must:

have graduated from a Colorado high school or was physically present in Colorado for at least one year immediately preceding the date you successfully completed a high school equivalency examination in Colorado; and
have been physically present in Colorado for at least 12 consecutive months prior to enrolling at DU.

Complete an affidavit with the College Opportunity Fund (COF):

4. Choose “No” to the question about Concurrent Enrollment or ASCENT.
5. After choosing “No” to the immigration status question, select one of the two options listed for high school graduation or GED, and enter your information at the bottom of the page.
6. Continue through the application and click “Submit.”

请注意: Although you’re required to complete the College Opportunity Fund affidavit as a part of the application process, undocumented students are not eligible to receive COF at the University of Denver.
